Many people have been pestering me with "games that don't work". I'm afraid to say that I'm not the problem here, this is:
 

TI-Connect has been a major problem for me. The old TI software, GraphLink, worked and indeed still does work with my calculator. TI-Connect now refuses to open certain programs, mainly those created with the z80 Assembly tool "bin2var". There is a solution, however.

FastLink, available for download from ticalc.org, works beautifully on WindowsXP with the serial cables (home made and official) and if run with the PortTalk drivers can also use the parallel port. I'm not sure of its USB support (not owning a USB link cable myself) but it does have the option.

One problem that FastLink does have is its occasional 'hiccup' when connecting - it refuses to get access to the serial port and complains that there is no cable attached. This is an easy one to get around - start up a simple part of the TI-Connect software, (such as the screen capture), do some calculator-PC communication and then try again in FastLink - closing down TI-Connect should free up the serial port.

Ignore this message in the FastLink readme:
FastLink 1.4 will not run on Windows NT, 2000 or XP.
I've been using FastLink on Windows 2000 professional (and now XP) for about 2 years now - I'll say it works beatifully! I think that the message refers to the parallel port problem...

...Which can be fixed with PortTalk.
